Tours in Florence Car Service

Florence is one of the most well-known, beautiful and precious cities in Italy and a hotspot on the country's traveler routes. Many people miss it, especially if they visit Italy for the first time. Florence is one of my favorite spots in Italy, with its stunning Renaissance armature, winding roads and beautiful red- accommodated structures.

Still, the number of galleries now will keep you busy for weeks. If you love art. There are also beautiful Renaissance churches to explore and you can freely spend hours on foot on the manicured pathway to Bobby Gardens. The city is a great jumping-off point for Tuscan wineries and food tours. Also, Florence is a popular study abroad position so the municipality also boasts fantastic performance. This Florence travel guide allows you to plan your trip, save cash and spend most of your time in this traditional Italian city.

Tours in Florence with a View

Which trip to Florence would be complete if you did not include a list of places where you could experience the same views of Florence as the Renaissance painters did? The sunrises and sunsets in Florence are particularly magical, but be sure to look the other way to see the reflection in the opposite direction of the sky. You can also see views of the Florentine countryside from the Duomo cupola or Giotto's bell tower, but I prefer the views below for a limited time in Florence.

1. Piazzale Michelangelo / San Miniato al Monte
2. Boboli Gardens (and Pitti Palace)
3. Bardini Gardens
4. Golden View
5. Under-Appreciated Churches of Florence
6. Santa Croce
7. Orsanmichele Church and Museum
8. Medici Chapels and Church of San Lorenzo

One Day Tours in Florence

1. 930 – Start your day at Santa Croce (or Museo Galileo, if knowledge is more your thing) when it opens.
2. Head to Piazza Della Signoria. Check out the yard of the Palazzo Vecchio and enjoy the Loggia Dei Lanzi. However, head to Orsanmichele for added religious art, If you’re feeling particularly ambitious.
3. 1200 – Quick lunch at‘Ino, DaVinattieri, or IlGirone Dei Ghiotti 130 – Uffizi Gallery tour.
4. Gelateria de Neri, Gelateria Santa Trinita or Gelato in La Caria. Head back to your hostel for a little R&R.
5. Watch the twilight over the Ponte Vecchio from one of the other islands in Florence.
6. 730 (or latterly) – Enjoy a tardy dinner at Sostanza, Buca dell’Orafo, Trattoria Nella, or Osteria Santo Spirito.
7. End your night with a perambulation through Florence’s most beautiful piazzas – Piazza Del Duomo, Piazza Della Repubblica, and Piazza Della Signoria. Enjoy the musicians. Use yourself in gelato from Eduardo (next to Duomo).

1.) Gorge on a Florentine Steak

No tour of Florence for the first time can be completed without consuming a steak Florentine. If you are not a vegetarian, this is one of the biggest and best things in Florence. For obvious reasons, if you are a vegetarian you may want to miss it. For one of the city's best Florentine sticks, pop on the Buca Mario where you'll be taken to a century-old restaurant in the historic part of Venice. They serve delicious Florentine steak. Just remember, Florentine steak is rare in the middle, so if you don't like more rare-cooked foods, consider it before ordering. Also, skip the first course! There’s no way you’ll be able to go through a steak florentine and eat a first course in the same sitting. (We tried twice and failed twice).

2.) Stroll across Ponte Vecchio

This unique bridge is the oldest in Florence and probably the most recognized bridge in Italy. Filled with small shops and stalls, the market is a bustling place with visitors, so lots of crowds can be expected. That being said, one of the best things to do in Florence if you haven’t been before. Just don’t forget to wander along the Arno River. From there you will find some impressive views of Ponte Vecchio. With almost a thousand years of history, Ponte Vecchio is a must-see.

3.) Dine Like a Tuscan

Okay, so Florence is known for its delicious food and the small independent restaurant that has a point across the city. And you know, one of the many reasons I love Florence is that… food! Being the dream city of food lovers, this city literally has thousands of places. For a proper informal, but completely delicious place, check out La Busela. This is an intimate Florentine pizzeria and seafood hunt where you can actually sit down with the chef cooking in front of you. This is a great place to spend an evening after exploring all the best things to do in Florence. Oh, and be sure to ask them about Tuscan wine. They know a lot about the wines of this region. Alternatively, if you are looking for some more spots, go there; Le Cappelle Medicee (for their delicious pasta), Ristorante Brandolino (a traditional bistro) or B.O.r.G.O. (For their regional food). You will not be disappointed.

4.) Stroll through Piazza della Signoria

There are plenty of fantastic pizzas to explore in Florence, but there are some that are really different. Piazza della Signoria is one of them! If you love history and want to see a small piece of the city's past, this is one of the best things to do in Florence. Also, you will be able to see the palazzo vechi from the piazza. Now, the piazza itself is full of idols, so keep your eyes peeled for these. Some of the things to see are the 500-year-old fountain of Neptune, Perseus with the head of Medusa, and David of Michelangelo (which is a replica). The latter, however, is a replica, the original of which is contained inside the Accademia Gallery. That being said, if art is your thing, go to the Uffizi Gallery which is near Piazza. Also, keep your eyes peeled for a small mark to show the location of the Savonarola hanger and where the vanity fire occurred. Horrible.

5.) Watch the sunset from Piazzale Michelangelo

If you want to see a fantastic sunset, Piazzale Michelangelo Florence must be one of the best things. It is still one of my favorite places to just come and sit and see the city from day to night. Now, it will take you about 30 minutes to walk from Ponte Vecchio to Piazza, but it's worth a visit. You can even see across the Tuscan landscape and across the mountains. Just remember to visit one hour before sunset as the area fills up very quickly just before sunset and choose your place wisely.
